We’ve gone through this process a few times in the search of a brand that would achieve these goals and we feel we’ve finally found this in SmartBin,” says the company’s COO, Seamus Devitt.

 

The company estimates that many waste collection service providers incur approximately €1,000 per bin per year of additional costs through the sheer inefficiency associated with the unnecessary and costly collections of bins and containers that are only partially full.  Through the provision of real-time monitoring, SmartBin offers these organisations the enhanced capacity to slash costs from their bottom lines and realise substantial savings by sending automated alerts when a bin is approaching full status, so that the maximum load is removed on all collection visits.  SmartBin’s automated alerts facility also eliminates problems associated with sites ‘overfilling’, thereby, eradicating the need to clean up the sites post-collection. The technology is also capable of automatically generating required regulatory reports, audit trails and certificates of destruction (in the case of secure shredding service providers).

Looking at year ahead, Devitt predicts, “We have a busy year ahead of us at SmartBin.
