Paul Kerley

Chairman

Paul is founder and CEO of Norkom Group Plc, the leading provider of financial crime and compliance solutions. With clients in over 100 countries, including 7 of the world’s top 10 banks, Norkom is ranked on the Global FinTech 100. Paul led the acquisition of Data4S (2004) and Digital Harbor (2007), the latter of which won “Best Acquisition” award at the International Acquisitions Conference. Other accolades include Best New Listing in Ireland (Investor Relations Magazine, 2007) and Company of the Year (ISA, 2005). Paul was named ISA’s Technology Person of the Year (2009) and Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year (Ernst & Young, 2005).  Paul was appointed Chairman of SmartBin in Sept. 2009.

Seamus Devitt

Director & CEO

Seamus joined SmartBin in early 2009, having been a successful serial technology entrepreneur. He has wide experience in the development of industry-leading technology products with companies in the USA and Ireland. Seamus has also managed the outsourcing of manufacturing of electronic products to Eastern Europe and China. He is currently non-executive Director of Technology with Excelsys Technologies Ltd., a company he founded in 2000 to develop specialized power conversion equipment for critical medical applications. He holds BE and MBA degrees from UCD and a MS Masters degree in Power Electronics from the California Institute of Technology.

Ray Nolan

Probably Ireland's most successful internet entrepreneur, Ray has been instrumental in the success of many technology companies. He founded Coretime Ltd, a leading provider of online time and billing management systems, and sold to Sage in 2004. Ray founded WRI in 1999 to introduce online bookings to the hostel industry.  As CEO, Ray grew Hostelworld.com to become a leading brand in the online travel space. Apart from delivering huge organic growth, WRI made a number of strategic acquisitions under Ray’s leadership. In 2005 the company purchased WorldRes and introduced its low cost distribution model to mainstream travel. Recently WRI was sold to Hellman and Friedman for a substantial sum.  Awards for Ray include Emerging Entrepreneur (Ernst and Young, 2003) and IIA Net Visionary (2006).
