Further Improving the Efficiency of Compactors

The Compacting Bin Solution from SmartBin has been developed especially for the wide variety of compacting bins in operation globally.  The use of the SmartBin solution allows realtime remote monitoring of the fill status of compacting bins.

Compactor Interface
The compactor interface is a multi-purpose interface that can accept compactor status signals from many types of compactor.  The interface can be located as required within, or alongside, the compactor's electronic module housing.  The interface then interprets the compactor signals and decides on transmission of information signals wirelessly over the GSM (cellular phone) network to the SmartBin host server. 

 

The interface also has capabilities to look simultaneously at several compactor signals, so that other parameters (for example, number of compactors since last empty, or total lifetime compact events) can be relayed back to the management system for monitoring, reporting or generation of service alerts.

 

Host Server
The wireless compactor interface communicate with the secure SmartBin host server, which parses the information received from the bins and processes this information with application specific software. The processed information is made available to service contractors on configurable websites.

 

Smart-Manager
The web interface provides a full service view of all compactors and a full suite of management reports, including alert SMS messages and email, etc.
