Note 1: The annual running cost per truck varies depending on the type of truck and the expertise and training required for the truck operator. This, in turn, depends on the type of waste being collected. Annual running costs should include Truck Amortisation, Fuel, Cost of Driver(s), Insurance, etc. The default value used in the calculations above is $90,000, although for many waste streams this figure can exceed $150,000.
