SmartBin’s Australian operations have relocated to the new and exciting eighteen04 collaborative Smart City hub in Newcastle NSW. Supported by CSIRO and the City of Newcastle, the eighteen04 has been established to create an optimum environment for  companies set to transform the world with smart and sustainable city solutions.

Head of SmartBin’s Australia and New Zealand operations, David Puxty, shared his enthusiasm for the move. “It’s with great excitement and high expectations that SmartBin relocate operations to the collaborative eighteen04 workspace. Sharing space and also ideas with some fascinating Smart City companies is a very positive endeavour. We expect the City of Newcastle and all involved to benefit greatly from the eighteen04 initiative.” said David.

SmartBin’s waste monitoring solution has received a great reception in Australia with many private and public bodies deploying the technology in the past 6 months. With a proven Smart City solution already in action, SmartBin can provide great insight and experience to their fellow eighteen04 collaborators, who are set to make a big impact on Australia’s Smart City industry.
