SmartBin Reduces Waste Collections in Cordoba Municipalities by 42%

Epremasa, the principal provider of waste management services to the Spanish province of Cordoba, showcased the efficiencies in collections made thanks to a combination of SmartBin Intelligent Monitoring and Sotkon underground street bins at Municipalia 2015 this month.

Snr. Sergio Velasco, Operations Manager at Epremasa, presented the findings showing that waste collections in the towns of Benamejí, Encinas Reales and Palenciana, have now been reduced from 7 days to just 4 thanks to the Smart City waste management solution they have adopted.

Aside from the operational savings Epremasa have made from lower fuel usage, drivers hours, and truck wear, the citizens of Benamejí, Encinas Reales and Palenciana have enjoyed a vastly improved service with overflowing bins eliminated and less noise and CO2 pollution on their streets.
